DA offers eco-technology packages and enterprise packages in Shelter, Domestic Energy, Drinking Water, Handmade Paper, Textiles, Pottery and Waste Recycling (fly ash bricks) etc. Many of these have already been disseminated and the others are in different stages of development. DA’s sister organisation, Technology and Action for Rural Advancement (TARA) undertakes production and dissemination of the technology/enterprise packages. The TARA Environmental Monitoring Facility (TEMF), a unit of TARA, provides research, training and capacity-building support services for the adoption of environmental technologies and products.

With the help of its action research work, DA incubates viable and sustainable social enterprises and eco-solutions that are scalable, targeting diverse stakeholder groups nationally and internationally. The economic, environmental and social dividends are enormous, spanning across local, national to global boundaries. Gender inclusive, participatory approaches are key to DA’s action research.
